Cristata Shopping and Sharing at Patterson High School
We are pleased to see students practicing their newly learned skillsets in shopping wisely. Students at Patterson High School practiced using discounts, applying math and geometry in computing the best price for a shopping item. Some of the items that the students shopped for through this learning module are turkeys, potatoes, stuffing, and pies. Computing the square inch of a pie was one of the problems that students solved. It was great seeing our academic advisor and financial literacy coach Kelley Bagdasarian mentoring and coaching students in learning how to stretch their dollars during this Christmas Holiday Shopping Season.
Students also practiced community altruism in making turkey sandwiches for others throughout the Patterson community. Giving is better than receiving, seeing the students’ help and caring about others in their community is what makes a city great. Thank you, Kelley Bagdasarian, Patterson High School, Jonathan Ogden Foundation, Jaime Gervasi-Keller Williams Team, Sandra Dietzel, and our Cristata family. Thank you!! Enjoy the new smiles as we continue in our great journey of helping others.
